ÿ Corel has a judge-imposed deadline of later today to explain how it obtained the rights to reproduce the Mona Lisa and dozens of other masterpieces in its CD-ROMs.
ÿStephen Weingrad, a New York lawyer representing London, Eng.-based Bridgeman Art Library Ltd., which owns the reproduction rights to the art and has launched the suit, said yesterday the Ottawa-based software firm was given the deadline yesterday during a three-way phone call with the judge and the two sides.
