Yes, Triple leveraged etf's I would not recommend to others unless you are very familiar with them. Years ago when they first came out I traded them quite a bit was forced to pay a bit of tuition :) but survived.
The ERY trade has been an ordeal- small order due to the leverage. I sold a Put, rolled it twice and was eventually assigned, then sold Calls. I think I am break even or possibly even up on the trade but if I had to do it over again I wouldn't.

Thanks for the ideas on RFP...I rarely alter the strikes when rolling hence my question. Do you find it advantageous to alter the strikes frequently?

I like RFP quite a bit and yes I don't sell Puts on anything that I am not comfortable owning.

Right now the market in general looks very shaky...of course that can be said during any downturn and since 2009 all ended up as buying ops. That won't work someday. Maybe today since liquidity is being drained not added.

So my Put Sales are less aggressive at the moment. Might do more NWL but only on a larger drop. The chart looks terrible but fundamentally I think NWL is ok
