He's probably talking about the Khashoggi murder.

The one where 18 Saudis cut off his fingers and dismembered him with a bonesaw while he was still alive, then decapitated him, dismembered him and disposed of his body.

They denied it for a few weeks, then decided it would be better for all concerned if they "admitted" that he had died after a fist fight.

Yeah, pretty sure it was that one.
