What is Coitadism. It comes from the Portuguese word Coitado.

The word means someone who deserves piety.

Coitadism
male noun
Self-pity; vocation to be a victim; way of seeing life that shows complacency and / or pity in relation to their own problems, disappointments, dislikes, etc.: Coitadism prevented him from having a happy life.
Feeling that makes someone always put in the role of victim.

Coitadism, was exemplified, in the past, by the photo of the poor African illustrating institutions trying to raise funding.

This century everybody is a coitado.

The phenomenon went to be exploited by LGTB and minorities, women and if tomorrow an ET lands here he will be a coitado too!!

Bolsonaro wants to put an end to coitadism by stating clearly everybody is equal under the law.

The coitado cannot be touched, and if he does something wrong, one cannot punish him like anyone under the law. Someone, and there is a lot of people who defend the coitados, will tell that there is something in the society that caused him/her to become coitado. It is society that is at fault not the citizen.

That will end now.
