A flaw on the line of thought of our Interregnum honcho is the following

He expects the world to be destroyed by economic mayhem.

Note his predilection for ZH .He fails to see the following:

A world with 7 billion people if only to keep clothed, housed and fed it is enough for a huge GDP or world GDP. And these 7 billions are not going to go crazy to demolish what keeps them clothed, housed and fed.

Second, the rich and powerful people need the poorer people. This applies to any country irrespective of regime. If the rich and powerful immolate the poorer people, or let the world go to Hell, who is going to generate profits for them?
Which means the rich and powerful will not let the tip point be overtaken.
