The Warriors’ Klay Thompson Breaks NBA Three-Pointer Record, Reveals Grateful Dead Fandom

The Golden State Warriors are a collection of very good basketball players, and one of them may have just become our new favorite NBA player (current, of course—shoutout Bill Walton), because sharpshooter Klay Thompson is apparently primed to be the newest addition to our undercover Deadhead list.
Last night in the Warriors’ game against the Chicago Bulls, Thompson—one half of Golden State’s vaunted “Splash Brothers” duo with Steph Curry—set an NBA record for made three-pointers with an insane 14, just beating out Curry’s previous record of 13. Thompson ended the game with 52 points in 27 minutes, also hitting a record 10 threes in the first half. And if you follow basketball at all (or really even if you don’t), you know those numbers are just bonkers.
During his post-game interview, Thompson sported a stylish, bright-green hoodie with a prominent Grateful Dead stealie on the front. So, obviously, Thompson’s historic performance was fueled by a pre-game listen to an especially robust “The Other One.” Or something like that.
