We have a similar problem here in Mesa. Dems want
the taxpayers to build a $50M-$100M Sports Complex
to attract "tourists". If it's such a good idea, why don't
wealthy Leftists develope it privately?

Mesa has no problem with tourism. Even though
there is no natural attraction to draw tourists, 1/2 of
the population are "snowbirds", aka winter weather
tourists. Most of them maintain a house here and
pay property tax, sewer/water/trash tax, eat out often,
attend movies, golf, and shop, etc. all generating city Sales Tax. But they only use city
services for 6 months of the year.
Reminds me of the beach tourism from May-Sept. in NJ.

But there's never revenue enough for profligate Dem politicians.

I'm voting NO on the Sports Complex, btw.
