You bring up SI and I've thought about that too. SI has done something clever by allowing boards to be moderated or not moderated. In that way, it is a social platform or public square, but by making them publicly moderated by the creators of the threads or others, they avoid any responsibility for the banning or censorship. The only time SI actually enforces a ban for something themselves is if there is too much cursing or virulent personal attacks. They even give you a little leeway on that. In many way, I think SI has found a good balance. If you are banned on one thread, you can typically find another equal thread where you can voice your opinions.

So I think SI is NOT violating any 1st Amendment rights. They've found the balance.

Google, Facebook, and Twitter are just flat out making corporate decisions about who gets to talk and who doesn't. Most of their decisions are extremely biased against conservatives. They are very liberal companies and soon enough they will be brought under control. And they will deserve it.
