Maybe, maybe not. It's just one battle in the war, anyway, Gerald Lampton may be right that the "tying" issue in the consent decree won't hold up. You still gotta play the game, though. At any rate, methinks the Microsofties were a bit ill-timed with the big "kinder, gentler" push just before the court date where it became abundantly clear from whence the "compliance with a raised middle finger" strategy came from. Waste of breath there. Ballmer's words were amusing as always, though.
