Mark, we would all be paying a lot less taxes if it were not for the space program. Very big price tag for moving into the unknown, whereas
the money could be used for so many humanitaian projests. Lets face it, the space program was started and moved into high gear to beat out the Russians. There is now talk about launches being responsible more then anything else for the holes in the ozone layer. The ozone hole appeared shortly after the program was under way. Makes you wonder.
Some good products and jobs have come from it, but look at the price tag.
