*I continue to believe that liberalism is a serious mental disorder..* The Declaration of Independence states: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Therein lies the fundamental difference between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives believe in God and Liberals believe in government Conservatives believe in the sanctity of life and liberals don't Conservatives believe in freedom (and less government). Liberals don't trust citizens to have liberty. Conservatives are happy and much of that flows from the prior three points as well as a belief it is their own responsibility to pursue happiness. Liberals aren't happy and believe the government's role is to make them happy.
