I'm at the Block office. They do give a great impression. Sometimes I think they are to nice. Alot of people just stop in during the day and type up their stocks on the demo units. They sit around for an hour or so - ask stupid questions, then leave. Some of them I see once or twice every week. No way these people will ever open an account! But they still get access to the equipment. Luckly, I've always got a station to train on - but some aren't so luckly.

Again, the requirements to trade at home are steep. I'm not sure how concrete these are since no one from this office is doing it, but they want an ISDN connection, NT w/64M. The trader has to have 3 months of office trading completed. As someone who doesn't trade 5 full days a week, 3 months could take me a while. Home trading would be nice for the days I have to work - I could just trade the open.

Strategy? I'm an engineer - I like to keep it simple. I follow the trend basically. When the daily trend and the 5 minute trend line up, I'm in the stock. I use a 1 MACD to determine the entry/exit points. I use my Tradestation, to back test each stock. Some stocks this works great on. Others don't. I leave alot of money on the table, but I take some home almost everyday.

Good luck with your trading.
