OT: We got a 12 or 15 word list every Monday, and a 10 word quiz every Friday, every year from 2nd grade to 6th grade. That's 350 words per year, for 5 years. Never knew which 10 words were on the quiz. Had to know them all. The average vocabulary is about 1500 words, iirc.
