I have an old Dell desktop with Win7, and an HP laptop with Win 10......they seem to have both been wiped at the same time such that I have nothing that precedes early 2017..... I tried a system restore on the Win7 machine for three days ago...the restoration process worked but of course I got nothing of my older files......
The Win7 has been a pain the ass for quite a while now and I going to scrap it hopefully on Black Friday...when I log on it requires me to hit the F1 key first...so anything is possible there but I don't know how the Win 10 was affected at the exact same time...don't even recall if both were turned on the same time. They share a modem and router when on-line together...
