One interesting trend that leads to lower NAND flash demand is that sales of lower priced digital cameras are also down because more people are simply using the improved cameras in their smartphones. Years ago, Eli Harari predicted that the conventional camera would give way to digital for everything except throw away cameras. His prediction was absolutely correct. Now it carries one step further, with smartphones disrupting the market for lower priced digital cameras (i.e., those selling for less than about $200). Art
