Makes me think back to perhaps the best meal I ever had.

It was about 46 years ago and I was invited to dinner in the home of some very humble people who lived in an adobe house in the mountains on the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico. The ambiance in that kitchen at dusk with the light emanating from the fire on the stove and the candles on the wall, a dirt floor beneath my feet, and every one radiating kindness, has left and indelible image in my mind.

The thing is, I can't even remember what we ate -- and yes, I know there were tortillas and probably beans but I dont recall the actual contents of the meal... just the warmth and love.
