Well I do not know all the current price points. but some number of years ago I opted to replace all boot drives on desktops (3) and laptops(4) with ssd drives. So I ended up with many 512GB 2.5 drives. So I looked into

I think I paid $5 a piece for several. they really became useful when cloning disks using acronis.

Any way they will hold an ssd or mechanical drive. I just upgraded my son's laptop using a laptop to clone from his laptop 500gig mechanical to a crucial 500GB ssd USB to USB.
It seems the crucial drives no longer come with acronis.
