Stock buybacks can be announced but never take place. TRIBY might announce to buy back 1 million shares but at what price? Their price might be $1.50. Buy back announcements will usually give the stock a boost. I disagree on what companies make buybacks. IBM announced a buyback and so have several large comapnies. I do agree that TRIBY has better uses for the cash. D
