Microsoft's Week In Court Is Adjourned techweb.com

A wrap-up piece, requiring the usual jaudice comentary.

In response to Urowsky's disapproval about the specific language in the court order vs. the Justice Department's briefs, Judge Jackson said, "It has been said that consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." He added, "Why is it relevant that what I did may have been less or more than what the government wanted?"

. . .

Microsoft's Murray added, "In the last few days, you've seen the government's case almost completely evaporate. What a difference three months make. Three months ago, they wanted the court to hold us in contempt for keeping Microsoft Internet Explorer in Windows 95. Now they want to hold us in contempt for taking it out."

Regardless of how much kinder and gentler one PR camp would have us see Microsoft, another camp raises that middle finger ever higher. How High can Microsoft Fly, indeed.

Cheers, Dan.
