I think reasonable men can understand the thinking of the time. Just as there are many books today attempting to interpret the Bible there were then also. The Jewish religion had it's instructions on what they thought the prophecies meant back then. Marvin Rosenthal is not trying to advance any Talmud teaching but is relating as history what the thought at the time was. Why did Israel reject the suffering Messiah, they yearned for the glorious Messiah. That is history, not some evil intention of advancing the Talmud. Rosenthal has for decades reached out to Israel with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not the Talmud. Don't so quickly and with no real thought condemn a good man to suit your own view.
