Barry; He is mostly right , small orders do by pass any AON,
it will fill if the price is hit on good volume which can be a curse. Buying or selling, at limit AON as your often buying on stronger than normal down ticks, and selling on stronger than normal up ticks.
It has it's trade off. Were there are SOES bandits working
you may sit and not fill even if the price goes below your bid,
I guess one hand washes the other there , but paying a commission
on 100 shares of a penny stock is no good either. I have at
times droped to 1000 shares that puts me into the SOES bandit
window, and moves more often than bigger blocks.
With me now, I have to buy a considerable sum to help my average
much, the more you average down the less percetage you get with
each buy. To go down from 1-1/2 even a little I have to make
a fairly large buy now at 1-5/16..were when my average was over
2 it was not to hard to drop it 25% each percetage point now
cost me more to get, so I'm saving some steam in the event she
does go down enough to let me get another 10% off my average
she would have to fall a lot and I would have to double again,
and I doubt that is going to happen.
At this time I know I'm in well below 2/3rds of the holders,
and sellers seem to have thined out. I think most of the action
in her now is amoung market makers and SOES bandits.
