"You're comparing IOMG to Microsoft and INTEL? Give me a break."

You posted that message to Bill. I just thought I'd point out that he was not comparing Iomega NOW with Intel and Microsoft NOW. He was comparing Iomega NOW with Intel and Microsoft many years ago.

It's not a completely far-fetched comparison. Remember, there was a time when Intel was just another chip maker, and a time when Microsoft operated out of a garage. I'm sure there were plenty of intelligent people who, at those times, would have said, "Hey, they've got an interesting little product, but they'll never be an IBM."

Here's a funny thing I noticed today. At this morning's prices, IBM's market capitalization was around 81 billion dollars. Microsoft's was 85 billion. Who would have predicted THAT in 1980?
