Greg: Another company that I have been following for several years which is in the development of laser for farsightedness and astigmatism is Sunrise Tech (SNRS). There has been some good info out on this procedure lately. This company was a high flier in the dental area and dental laser about 4 years ago. Since then they have survived several near misses and is just now beginning to show some promise. I talk to the PR person at the company on a regular basis such as to day. The stock today had a good day with 650,000 volume, 2 to 3 times normal. The laser technology uses heat to shrink the tissue which does not scar the eye, so the procedure can be done again if desired. Lastest info is that this procedure has minimal regression over time which I understand is a problem with BEAM procedure. This company also makes a micro prep machine for cleaning cavities and doing some root canal work. They are also using the dental laser surgical machine for gum surgery and hope to get FDA approval within the next month to use the laser surgical machine on hard tissue of the teeth and gums. This should be a three product company in the future. Let me know if you would like more info. The corneal shaping and dental laserhave been used outside the USA for two or three years so there is a success story if only FDA would get off their behinds.
