Meanwhile, the New York Times isn't satisfied to simply be the mouthpiece for the liberal left. Now they have decided it's time to side with Communism, Marxism, Chairman Mao, and Chinese theft and predatory behavior. What the F is wrong with the NYT? It's like they've been taken over by the most evil of people who openly desire the destruction of the United States. Incidentally, this article is wrong on so many points, it would be too long of a post to dissect and destroy its assumptions and conclusions. Suffice it to say that it reads like an apologia for Communism and Socialism, without any real understanding of practical economics nor a serious analysis of the massive and unabated leverage that has turned China into a house of cards ponzi scheme that is only a matter of when, not if, it implodes. Not only that, but the NYT doesn't address the fact that the Chinese miracle was built on wholesale theft of IP and corporate espionage from the US and other countries. The reality is that China's success has only been success insofar as they have allowed Capitalism to thrive. Still waiting for China's collapse? Well, yes, but it's hard not to notice the implosion of their stock market and the increasingly desperate measures the central planning politburo is taking to prop up their house of cards. I have an idea. If the NYT believe so much in the Chinese economic model, I dare them to take a controlling stake of their newspaper and borrow against it to invest in the Chinese markets. They should put their money where their mouth is. Then when China blows up, we'd be rid of them and the idiotic pos NYT as well. And to think I used to read NYT and WSJ religiously when I was growing up. Too bad the NYT has gone down the toilet so fast.
