SAN DIEGO, Calif., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Super Bowl XXXII isn't the only big event happening in San Diego. Against the backdrop of football's premier game stands a unique collaboration between VTEL(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: VTEL - news), the global leader in Digital Visual Communications(TM), and Sprint, the official telecommunications provider to the NFL. It's all part of ''Coca-Cola and Sprint present the NFL Experience,'' a 20-acre interactive football theme park in San Diego, site of Super Bowl XXXII.

The centerpiece of the 5-day NFL Experience celebration (January 16-18 and 23-24) is ''Sprint Stadium'' and its huge JumboTron(R) display, which is tied to VTEL digital communications systems. Using the top-of-the-line VTEL LC5000(TM) system, fans from around the country can talk to football stars and celebrities located in various NFL cities. Many of those interactions will be broadcast on the JumboTron.
The VTEL LC5000, which will be on-site at The NFL Experience, serves as the driver from the digital visual communication system. The Sprint Stadium videoconferencing schedule kicks off on Friday, January 16 and runs throughout the weekend. The schedule resumes on Friday, January 23 and concludes on Saturday, January 24.
