The Dixiecrat's philosophy was conservative Republican, and the northern Republicans was traditional enlightened Democrats.

If you go by person to person you will find damn few if any liberals who voted against. It was pretty much all conservatives.and as the Democratic party is the home of the liberal, the minorities also make it their home, because they know we share our home with them for real.
