T.R.
Too may times I've heard from people the pitiful phrase, "I'm only one person. . . What can one person do?"
A great deal. Indeed, study history, it is rife with examples -- good and bad -- of a nation, a society, a world changing from the will and persistence of ONE individual.
The truth is each of us has the power within us to regain our natural liberties from the maws of a powercrazed juggernaut whom (we must accept responsibility for it) we created and/or allow to grow. This government, originally our protectorate, our champion of individual freedoms and rights -- has become a Frankenstein, rumbling through the darkened countryside armed with oppressive Senate Bills and federal judgments.
If we speak out, if all of us who can SEE realizes we can make a difference, can rise above the blare of the robotized media, the droning, soothing rhetoric of the professional politician (Democrat or Republican -- two side to the same coin nowadays), and check the premises of every would be tin soldier who pleads to lead us into the "safety" of oblivion if we would just let him (or her) do our hard thinking for us. . . we can win back what is justly ours. Much has been lost -- some through guile, some through attrition, some through trickery, some through empty promises, some through coercive threats, some by turning individuals into groups and turning groups against each other. Yet we can prevail, it is not too late, YET.
I marvel in my travels that so many agree with me, yet so many are afraid to speak up or speak out! Many more are just confused, or think that historical fact is just another opinion, or that "the future will take care of itself". They are the lost ones. Their turgid ranks continue to swell yearly.
