Company Press Release SOURCE: Motorola Cellular Division Motorola Statement LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by Motorola: The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the lower court's denial of Motorola's (request for preliminary injunction relating to the appearance of Qualcomm's ''Q'' phone. Since the appeal was from a request for preliminary relief, the record was not fully developed. While Motorola is disappointed by the Court's decision, we are confident that once discovery is complete and all the facts are considered we will prevail. At trial, Motorola expects to show that the appearance of the ''Q'' phone infringes Motorola's design patents and trade dress and that Qualcomm infringes other utility patents.
