This can't be right.

I don't understand it either - I got a partial PHX fill @ 0.5 today, so provided the merger goes through, QWST only needs to be above $22 one quarter out for me to show a profit. 60% discount for the merger risk, gimme a break!

Does anybody have info that would suggest this merger may not be such a done deal? I noticed that a previous bid for PHX fell through (the bidding company went bankrupt) - is that what keeps people away? I can't imagine PHX shareholders voting down such a deal, given their stock's performance in recent months. What else could be going on - can the market be *that* inefficient?

Plus a cash kicker at 7%.

*Potential* cash kicker. It might be anything between zero and 11 cents a share - and you have to wait up to 3 years for it. Not really worth taking into consideration, IMHO.
