UNFI. We don't seem to be forward equivalent on analysts' forward estimates that we're using. -g- Yahoo says average of ten analyst estimates is $3.67/sh. Lowest estimate is $2.83/sh. MarketWatch has next fiscal year earnings of $3.67 based on the mean of analysts' estimates. That'd gives a p/e of 5.9x on a $21.61 stock price. Current p/e (ttm) is 6.6x The lowest yearly avg p/e the stock has sold for in past decade was 15.9x in world-ending 2008. A current and future p/e now under 7x shows how far down the view of the stock has come since acquisition announcement and/or the past five months. I'm betting the view is too pessimistic. Although otoh I've been wrong many, many times.
