I suspect you are a bit disappointed re asset pricing, given the latest (though meager) news from Argentina.

(We won't cry for you, Argentina.)

I did not know what was going to happen, but I had read this piece by Anatole and was convinced that he had nailed Trump's psychology.

"Shout loudly and carry a white flag" just about sums it up. Well, what did we get? We shall see.

Also, we are now hearing from Cohen about the Trump hotel project in Moscow. I am sure Trump will also want hotels in Beijing and Shanghai, because this Presidential gig (no matter how convincing one may try to make it look) is not going to last forever, and the dynasty needs more and more and more and more and more .......

And one cannot quarrel with China and get hotels in China. Or anyplace else.

I have never liked politicians ...... choose any name you like. The reason is simple. Like people who advertise (and lie without hesitation) to sell things, politicians lie to people, and justify the lies in their own minds. And the people in the West believe them because they have a need to believe. Unlike in Asia and Eastern Europe, where they have not trusted leaders for ages, perhaps with the exception of one or two (Gandhi, for example).

But then, those people have had harder lives.

We can and often do untold damage when we lie "for someone else's good".
