I just googled Rescue Remedy and they sell it on Amazon.
I might just order some. Having just relived my past pet flight experiences, I need it.
Will try also it on Harvey (my dog) who totally stresses out in the car which, in turn, stresses me out. I take him on short pleasure rides to the park or to the beach so he doesn't think a car ride means going to the Vet, where the first 6 years of his life always ended up before I adopted him, but nothing has helped. Someone suggested I just sit in the car with him for a few minutes and not go anywhere, then go back into the house. That hasn't helped either. Harvey is allergic to just about everything on the planet so I'll have to do some research before I try it on him.
Speaking of cats, after not having one for about 5 years now I'm thinking of adopting one. My summer neighbors this year started bringing their cat down. He often ends up in my yard or on my deck. The first time I picked him up, he kind of melted into me, like he didn't have any bones. I had forgotten how great and calming it feels to hold a cat.
Harvey will be fine with a cat because his foster home had cats. I had thought about adopting another dog for him but after holding Boo, I realized I really miss having a cat. |
