Question: Why would Zen invest $40,000 annually to use a site as a communication platform that essentially serves as an open discussion forum for and against Zen's business plan?

The issue related to this question is especially underscored by Larry Hoover's more recent post. Consider, we know that Zen is a company that for various reasons brings out the worst in bashers: whose carefully deliberated, extremely time consuming posts appear soooo vengefully driven that any sane reader would question the poster's mental well bring (e.g. posters not being invested in a stock but setting aside a large portion of their live's everyday to attack it). We know Hoov is the 2nd, or arguably 3rd biggest pariah in the Zen community. I personally go to Agoracom once every 2-3 weeks to do some back reading of Zen related posts in case there are points that have not been raised here. But I have no interest in participating in a community forum in which such a maligned individual as Hoov, whose words are excessively infected with anger and the desire for retaliatory measures, still carries a respected voice on the site.

At least here he has been banned from participation on some discussion boards and has to stoop so low as to misrepresent his true identity on others. Using Agoracom as a platform for $40,000 is a little perplexing to me. I agree with Rennie - its not a lot of money in the big scheme of things but it could be better spent elsewhere, and without inviting equal billing to the stance of excessively deranged bashing.
