Hi All,
Reading through Syracuse University Magazine (Winter 98), I came across an article on an alumnus who started a company (public) called HumaScan. It is a medical supply company. They developed a product called BreastAlert. It is actually called BreastAlert Temperature Differential Sensor. It is an early detector of tumors in the breast. It takes fifteen minutes and measures the temperature of areas of the breast. A difference of temps in two comparable areas of the breast, indicates a small tumor may exist. Plus, there is no exposure to radiation and is designed to be administered during a gynecological exam.

Has anybody ever heard of this and if so, do you feel it could hurt Fonar's entry into the, for the lack of a better term, mammogram arena?

Thanks in advance.
Gary S.
