Saturn Oil & Gas (SOIL-V) is a microproducer with a good growth story. Saturn's operations in Saskatchewan produce light crude as well as heavy oil. The company forecasts increased production by the end of the year, and its potential profitability is largely due to its Viking light oil assets, which offer much better prices compared with heavier crude. Also, its production costs are less than those needed for lower grades of the commodity. Other market players say that the largest integrated oil and gas companies could even benefit from the downturn if they can acquire assets at bargain-basement prices.
