When China initially imposed tariffs there was considerable opinion that China could not last long without US soy. Months have passed and though China is going to be buying some soy soon there is now some serious consideration of the fact that this trade war could have long term negative implications for American soy farmers selling soy to China. The trade war has not been a positive factor for many American industries, certainly soy is one.
