We returned from Vietnam a week ago yesterday, after spending 4 weeks over there. Between us, with two iPhone cameras blazing, a Nikon CoolPix for backup, a Nikon DSLR for heavy artillery, and a GoPro for rapid-fire, we took nearly 6000 photos and videos, plus 6 hours of GoPro footage. I finally made it through all the photos earlier today, but have yet to get past the first few minutes of GoPro footage. In trying to narrow down the photos for posting here on SI I came out with 117, even though I skipped many good ones. I'll cut it down still further, but I hope I don't bore anyone by posting too many.

It was an amazing adventure, with multiple surprises every day, cross-currents of all kinds imaginable. It was a lifetime in 28 days.

Lying Dragon Mountain, near Ninh Binh (a few hours from Hanoi)

Monkey Bridge. Not far away there was a pool of crocs.

Bai Dinh Temple near Ninh Binh
