We visited a huge Buddhist temple complex in Ninh Binh, known as Bai Dinh Temple. The earliest temple in the area is over 1000 years old, back in the mountains, which we did not visit. Here's the huge towering pagoda:


Motorbikes replace cars in Vietnam. When you don't have a back seat or trunk, you improvise. Once I saw a big pile of jack fruit on top of a motorbike driving down the highway. Then I noticed a head and two arms sticking out. How he secured all the fruit I still don't know. Here's some bananas on the way to market:
