Poco this is just rhetorical. I know you know this stuff.

We have pissed away about seven trillion to the military industrial complex in the last 18 years on two dumb ass wars and which we could have made a huge dent in the homeless problem with had it been spent here and stimulated the economy to boot.

And we pissed trillions more away in stupid tax cuts to the rich.

We can develop social programs to help the homeless. We just increased the defense budget another 50 billion that it did not need.

That 50 billion could have been much better spent as matching grants to the states to develop plans to address the problem in each state.

I know, I wrote federal grant applications/ state plans for both state alcoholism and drug abuse and a comprehensive emergency medial programs and was appointed by two different governors as the state director to administer those plans.

I know what can be accomplished if we have the will to do so.

The sociopathic Republicans are still preaching the Horatio Alger bullshit that sociology put to rest decades ago.

I see them lying outside in the cold in winter some with their shopping carts full of all their worldly possessions, we have welfare here for the very poor, I don't know how homeless people can qualify if they don't have an address, the salvation army feeds some, there are other organizations that feed them as well, many have mental issues so they are unemployable.
