Christine,

Authentic Mexican tequila? Good stuff! Is it the kind with the very plump worm? That's real good stuff, but you're supposed to eat the worm. Being a vegetarian, I couldn't handle that. <g>

In reference to your previous post, I probably should not comment further until I look at the links. Please be aware that I was not kidding when I said I was working on an Intel doorstop, and loading graphical webpages often turns into a religious experience for me.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear in our discussion of nicotine-cessation programs. Nowhere will you find that I dismissed the nicotine patches out of hand. My concern is that because a pharmaceutical is offered over the counter people are lulled into thinking it is harmless. Nothing could be further from the truth. My strongly held opinion was--and is--that nicotine patches should not be used without a physician's supervision, even though they are now available over the counter. The same goes for birth-control pills. I hope you realize that I do know that birth-control pills are not an over-the-counter item.

Please don't tell me you don't remember all the misinformation that poured forth from all the mainstream media re AIDS/HIV when the disease was first "discovered." I would have a hard time believing that. However, may I recommend Randy Shiltts', "And the Band Played On," and Laurie Garrett's "The Coming Plague," for bedtime reading. In fact, I would rate both books as must-reads for everyone.

I'm puzzled at your puzzlement in the post which this one answers. I would infer that you are saying that the government is taxing us to the hilt to make and enforce regulations to save us taxes. That's like saying we had to kill the children to save the children. Good grief, Charlie Brown! That does puzzle me.

Holly (truly puzzled)
