Rick, I think next week with the heavy hitters reporting earnings, that what should be a down trend will instead be an extension of the present uptrend for a couple of days and then turn down Thursday and Friday, however just to play it safe I plan to sell at a high next week and buy it back maybe sometime on Friday.. Sometimes I get ideas from reading Donald Sew a technician on the Tech Stock Options thread:

I think we may break thru the 60 resistance for awhile due to great earnings and the split and the recent news that CPQ has more to gain than lose from the Asian Contagion... <ggg>
What do you think?

Dell Computer Corp (DELL)

DIGITAL EQPMT. CORP will make aggressive price cuts in its low- and mid-range Alpha Windows NT
servers
later this month, analysts said. The price cuts, approaching 50% in the low-end and tapering off towards
mid-range servers, will make Digital systems much more competitive against DELL COMPUTER CORP,
HEWLETT PACKARD CO, COMPAQ COMPUTER CORP and others. Digital will announce the price cuts
on the
servers, which store data, manage and run computers linked together in a network, on January 27, analysts
said. "They are very significant," one analyst said. "Maybe they are finally figuring they can't charge this
premium for Alpha platforms." (Reuters 04:00 PM ET 01/16/98) For the full text story, see full story
