The same report today stated that the Chinese & visiting American
delegation have publicly stated it would be un-necessary and most
unwise for China to devalue the RMB.

While this does appear that the U.S. is standing beside Chine in
defending their currency, which they are, it is not just because
we are nice guys. China is a MAJOR trading partner of the U.S.
If the RMB (Yuan) devalues, it will hurt the U.S. eceonomy as much
as it will the Chinese economy.

There are, IMO, many nice Americans. You rarely find them in political positions, though. <g>
