Whatever you do, simple is always more reliable and valid than complicated... there are numerous psychology studies to verify this fact... simply summarized, the more complex something becomes, then the more specifications and conditions are needed to meet the prerequisites before a signal is valid... it's just too much, and those kinds of models tend to fail...

The old KISS method still works best!!! (Keep It Simple Stupid)...
