Cortez has raised so many issues that needed to be raised and I wonder why they have not been raised before? Here are a few of them: 1) How many of us knew the interns and many staffers are not paid? This is our congress and we should pay them. She is going to pay her staffers. 2) The congress pays half what she did as a waitress for heath insurance. How is that fair? We need to start thinking again like Democrats and not Republicans. A society has an obligation to help its citizens with certain needs and health care is one. 3) What were Democrats doing holding orientation for new congress people at an event not only sponsored by The American American Enterprise think tank (an oxymoron) , and Koch Brothers, but also giving lectures. 4) She is a leader in a Green New Deal (GND) and has said lets not worry about 2020 yet but instead engage in much needed social policy. She is trying to do what is sorely needed in this country like reduce the terrible income inequality. Cortez on the Daily show explaining Democratic socialism and her ideology and pragmatism. This is also a good interview. If people want to oppose her they should at least know what her ideas are and who she is. youtube.com
