Thanks Hammer,

Nice to hear support in a crazy down market - I needed that.

Four years ago I took my 401K and rolled it into a a self directed IRA.

My target was to turn it into a 5.0 % yield plus account that would compound into my RMD time which is 4 years off now.

My account is up 50% in 4 years and 50% is still cash. As of today I have that cash collateralized on T and xom puts. Blue chippers.

If all is assigned to me, the T is on a yield of 6.75% and the xom is on a yield of 5.06 % . If all is assigned to me, I will accumulate dividends and build up some cash and buy some more shares opportunistically. If I understand the RMD correctly the dividends will cover the first several years before I'll need to sell some shares.

Thanks for the supportive words.

Bob
