Scott: I'm sorry, but I have to keep responding to the way you are talking as if Novell is even in the "same league" with Microsoft.

You keep talking as if Microsoft considers your organization a threat to it's ongoing earnings machine. I gotta tell ya' Scott, they ain't concerned about Novell, Eric Schmidt, NDS, Netware, et al AT ALL.

They were'nt concerned about OS/2 and effectively killed it, and that was with a company that had/has a 76Billion dollar market cap.

You (Novell) are nothing but an "irritant" that they want to just "dust off".

Comparing yourself (Novell) to Microsoft in this regard is, if anything else, to me anyway --- amusing.

Now, you know prior to February of last year, I did NOT feel that way.

But your (NOVELL's) track record, well, s*cks!

You ain't gonna beat MSFT. Give it up already.

PS: Actually, you know what set me off originally, right? The CalPERS
thing back in February of last year.

Well, this one has got to be IMO, the "second" one. And in all likelyhood, the final one.

The media is gonna make mincemeat of you guys.

1. Terrible MOAB review.
2. Novonyx Debacle
3. And now this, MSFT dissing you BIG TIME on NDS on NT. Scott---- "THEY own the API, not YOU". You guys blew it a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago. Wake up already.

PPS: I'd even go out on a limb and predict that your executive suite are ALREADY prepping their "chutes" in anticipation of the inevitable.

Someone told me (anonymously) back before the annual meeting that E.S.'s time was terminal. (Paul F. knows what I'm talking about). I think the time is drawing near.

Your employees cannot IMVHO be feeling very good about themselves lately.
