Am now in China mainland. In Yangshuo, at some farmer-operated bed and breakfast place. The guangxi / yunnan and many other provinces are simply dotted w/ such, all scenic spots made accessible by hi-speed rail and ubiquitous car rental.

We shall hop two locales, one proletariat and peasant-operated, and another champagne communist, to compare.

This first proletariat place is playing host to a corporate event where our neighbours belong to a marketing company holding an off-site brainstorm session in the dining room talking about tourism development.

Everything changes from what I knew ...

Indubitably, on any time line, people’s lives are improving. Ultra bullish.
