"But the advent of super-intelligent AI would be eitherthe best or the worst thing ever to happen to humanity." Says Stephen Hawking. He continues: "We cannot know if we will be infinitely helped by AI, or ignored by it and sidelined, or conceivably destroyed by it. As an optimist, I believe that we can create AI for the good of the world, that it can work in harmony with us. We simply need to be aware of the dangers, identify them, employ the best possible practice and management and prepare for its consequences well in advance."

But I am not as optimistic as Hawking. Look at what is going on in the world right now. Look at the rise of Donald Trump and the continued support of this monster by a sizable American population in spite of what he has shown over the past two years. What if some of those among the Trump supporters who have the technical expertise in the AI design who will start out either to conquer or to destroy the humanity by designing his own super-smart AI? There are too many maniacs in America and in Europe right now not to believe some of them will gamble on our ultimate fate --- conquer the entire world with their own super-smart AI or destroy the world if they can't conquer the world. The world then becomes the world for the super-intelligent AI and humans become insignificant or get annihilated. Trumpsters and the white nationalists give me a bad feeling if humans are wise enough not to design the super-intelligent AI which will only conquer us.
