I think that eventualy the area of wireless internet+telephony will explode to replace much of the exisiting wired line phone service plus adding multimedia capable internet connection. However, I have not figured out which companies have the best prospects for success or have not already been bid up to year 2001 valuations. It is a great field to speculate in but will take up to several years of negative earnings before many of the service providers make any money. Of course what makes these companies so attractive are the projections for revenues three or more years out - several tens of billions. The sales and earnings will flow to the equipment, component suppliers and installation service firms first and then once the delivery structure is developed, it will flow more to the service providers. The little I know about LMDS wireless looks that it will be one of the likely winners.

Its a hot, hot area but a lot of investors will get burned along the way. I guess the way to play it is to buy when the market sentiment toward the sector turns favorable and then start taking profits when the TA of the cahrts and sentiment turns euphoric. In other words, be quick to take profits or sell when the stocks start topping out rather than try to ride the movement up for the last 10% of the expected move.
