Jeff, thanks for your two cents. Looking at my need's it seems CD would be the way to go. I plan on scanning and archiving the family pictures, that alone seems to dictate going the CD way. One other thing is I would like to back up certain software CD's because my kid has a habit of leaving them around the house (getting scratched) or worse they get "lost" in what he calls a bedroom! <G> I know MSFT and others may not like me making a copy of a CD but it is MY copy and I do not pirate software, so they can kinda stick it.
